Frequently asked questions
What causes errors in a Google Merchant Center XML feed?
The most common reasons are malformed XML, stray HTML in descriptions, non-standard prices and GTINs with a mask or an invalid check digit.
How do I fix an invalid GTIN in Google Merchant?
A GTIN must have 8, 12, 13 or 14 digits and a correct check digit. The tool removes masks (dots and dashes) automatically and flags GTINs with an invalid check digit, which you need to confirm with the manufacturer.
Is my feed sent to ResolveLabs servers?
No. The XML is handled in your browser. When loading by URL, your own browser fetches the feed, so the feed server must allow access (CORS).
Is this tool free?
It's part of the PRO plan (R$ 7.99/month), with 7 days free at the start. To just check the structure of an XML, use the XML viewer, which is free.
