Frequently asked questions
What is an OFX file?
OFX (Open Financial Exchange) is the format banks use to export statements in a structured way. It carries the date, amount, description and type of each entry, and it is the standard for importing statements into accounting and bank reconciliation systems.
How do I open an OFX file?
Choose the file in the box above or drag it onto it. ResolveLabs reads the OFX in your browser and shows the statement as a table, with nothing to install and without uploading the file.
Is my OFX file sent to any server?
No. Reading happens entirely in your browser and the file never goes through our servers.
Can I open OFX on my phone?
Yes. The page works in your phone's browser: tap choose file and select the downloaded OFX.
How do I open OFX in Excel or convert it to CSV?
This viewer shows the OFX content and lets you copy the data, but it doesn't generate a spreadsheet. To see the statement in columns, open the OFX here and copy the entries into your spreadsheet.
What's the difference between OFX and CSV?
OFX follows a standard with defined fields (date, amount, transaction ID), which makes automatic import easier. CSV is a plain table and each bank builds the columns its own way.
Does the viewer change my OFX file?
No. It only reads and displays the content; the original file is not modified.
