Frequently asked questions
How do I generate a free QR code?
Type or paste the link or text in the field. The QR code is drawn instantly and the Download PNG button saves the image to your computer.
Does the QR code expire?
The QR itself doesn't expire: it's static and holds the content directly in the drawing, without going through a redirect service. If it points to a link, the link may still go offline, so check that the destination is still valid.
Can I generate a Pix QR code?
You can paste the Pix copy-and-paste code generated by your bank and the QR will represent exactly that text. We don't generate or validate Pix, so test scanning in your bank's app before printing or sharing.
Which PNG size should I choose?
1024 pixels works for most uses. Use 2048 for large-format printing and 512 for small screens.
What is the error correction level?
It's how much of the QR can be dirty or damaged and still be read. Higher levels tolerate more damage but make the code denser and limit the text size.
Can I change the destination after printing?
No. Since the QR is static, the content can't be changed afterwards. If the destination changes, you need to generate a new QR code.
Is my QR code content sent to any server?
No. The QR code is generated in your browser and the text never goes through our servers.
